After a long (last) show weekend (from Wednesday, May 28th to Saturday, May 31st), we bid our final adieu to our beloved bar with a heartfelt gathering and a ceremonial stroll around the block.

indulging in glittering, colorful memories, sharing laughter & tears

▶️ Come dressed in black—with a sparkle of glitter, a flutter of veils or even a hint of sexy (but please, not too bare!)
Bring flowers, photos/posters/prints (to decorate the windows), bubbles, balloons, glitter, confetti, (grave) candles – whatever inspires you to help craft this final farewell.

Nach einem letzten großen und langen Show-Wochenende (Mi., 28.5. – Sa., 31.5.) verabschieden wir uns am Sonntag, den 1. Juni mit einer feierlichen Zusammenkunft und einem symbolischen Trauermarsch von unserer geliebten Bar ‚Zum Starken August‘

Mit dieser Trauerfeier möchten wir nicht nur unseren (Stamm)Gästen, Performern und Wegbegleitern einen letzten Ort der Begegnung und des Abschieds bieten – wir wollen zugleich aufmerksam machen auf das Sterben von Bars und Clubs in Berlin, das auch ein stilles Verschwinden von Kultur, Gemeinschaft & Freiräumen bedeutet und ein entsprechendes Zeichen setzen.
